Fogata
Situation
Formation SD was tasked with creating a comprehensive and favorable visual identity for the Mediterranean restaurant Fogata, which specialized in high-end rotisserie dinners in beautiful Whistler BC. The image had to reflect not only the type of food offered, but also the warm, friendly atmosphere of the restaurant.
Challenge
Whistler is a world-famous luxurious resort site with a majority of its restaurants possessing high-end visual environments. Fogata needed to excel with not only a high-end visual system but also a highly emotional one to precisely manifest its unique ambiance. Brand Advantage Stage 1 was selected as the brand development program for this project.
Brand Advantage
Along with the restaurant's existing "The Flair of Spirited Dining" marketing line, the name Fogata (meaning "campfire" in Spanish) conveys a profound sense of warmth. This name reflected the restaurant's specialty and atmosphere so well that it directly inspired our creation of a sensual brush-stroke and flame-like symbol to form Fogata's capital 'F', accentuating the restaurant's unique image while injecting into Fogata's business a unique and powerful soul that drives the branding for a distinctive restaurant that offers a unique and memorable dining experience.
