Our Creative Energy

Our Creative Department, headed by Creative Director Billy Lin, has given birth to some of the most impressive design and creative works in the branding industry.

A graduate from the School of Architecture in University of Waterloo, Billy has entered the world of branding with a unique balance of design creativity and strategic thinking. He began his career in corporate identity design and brand development at Asian industrial leader Proman in 1995. There he had the opportunity to explore the branding power of numerous world-class business partners such as Jaguar, Pierre Cardin, Yves Saint Laurent, Jockey and Playboy.

With several branding projects for clients such as AutoMind and Tungsang International, he founded Formation SD in 1998 to converge his philosophy of Impact and Efficiency in branding with a passion to innovate the branding industry.

As Formation SD has grown to serve a broader range of clients across the Asia Pacific and North America, Billy has broaden his professional contribution from project creative to fostering all our existing and future clients' appreciation for our branding excellence.

Our Operational Vantage

Today we are among the leaders in unity and efficiency in branding thanks to our Operation Department, headed by Director of Brand Development Irvin Vale Akopov.

With an extensive background in Marketing Management, Vale spent the early part of his career with Futureshop / Best Buy Canada, taking the reigns of the corporation's extensive music and DVD inventory nation-wide. In 2001, he later embarked on his own successful venture - Unvale New Media Solutions - in the dynamic and demanding New Media industry.

In 2003 Vale became a managing partner of Formation SD and has brought his unparalleled ability to balance key management priorities with keen soft-skill proficiencies to our company, resulting in a new peak in our project efficiency and satisfaction for all Formation SD clients.

Vale is now the cornerstone of our operation and project managements and will continue to ensure the highest level of unity and efficiency in all our branding projects for the maximization of our clients' return on brand investment.
